Serhiy Ivanovych Svetoslavsky was born in Kyiv in 1857. Landscape painter. Studied at the Moscow College of Art, Sculpture and Architecture in 1875-1883 in the studio of A. Savrasov. From 1891 – member of Peredvishniki (Wanderers) Society. Lived and worked in Kyiv and Moscow. Died in Kyiv in 1931.
