Graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute in 1956 where he studied in the studio of S. Grigoriev. Active in Kyiv. Began exhibiting in 1951. Specialised in portraiture and monumentalist painting. The artist became involved in political organization of dissident artists in 1960s. Married to A. Gorskaya and convicted of her killing, which in fact have been carried by the KGB. Died in 1990. |
