Oleksandr Zhyvotkov (also Alexander Zhyvotkov) was born in Kyiv in 1964. He studied at the Republican Art School by the name of T.H.Shevchenko in Kyiv in 1975-1982 and at the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1982-1988. He is known for his monochrome abstract compositions that resemble paintings of Anselm Kiefer. The artist lives and works in Kyiv.
