Porfiriy Nikitich Krylov was born in Schelkunovo, Tula province in 1902. Studied at Tula art school in the studio of H. Shegalya, in Moscow at Vhutemas-Vhutein in 1921-1928 in the studios of Osmerkin and Shevchenko, and Konchalovsky. Painted portraits, landscapes, traveled a lot. Exhibited in Russia, also in Italy and other countries. Died in Moscow in 1990.
