Alexei GRITSAI 1914 — 1998Олексій ГРИЦАЙ • Алексей Михайлович ГРИЦАЙAlexai Gritsai was born in St. Petersburg in 1914. He studied at Leningrad studio of S.Zaidenberg and later at the Leningrad Art Academy during 1932-1939 in the studios of I.Brodsky and V.Iacovlev. Gritsai taught at the Art College “In the memory of 1905”. In 1964-1998 he taught at The Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture where he was a professor since 1966. He was the member of Art Academy of the USSR since 1964. The artist died in 1998. |
