Mikhail Konstantinovich Klodt was born in 1832 in St. Petersburg. Landscape painter. Son of an engraver K.K. Klodt. Studied at St. Petersburg Art Academy (1851-1858) in the studio of M. Vorobyov. Recipient of a stipend of the Art Academy in 1858-1961. During these years traveled to Switzerland and Northern France. Lived in St. Petersburg. Professor of a landscape department at the Art Academy (1871-1886). Died in St. Petersburg in 1902.
