Leonid Demyanovich Blinov was born in Podmonastyrskaya Sloboda, Yaroslavl province in 1867. Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts as a non-enrolled student in 1885-1894. Began exhibiting in 1889. Specialized in sea subjects. Official navy artist from 1894. Died in St. Petersburg in 1903.
