Konstantin Semenovich Vysotsky was born in 1864. Studied at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1885-1891. Active in Moscow until around 1918; Latvia thereafter. Began exhibiting in 1892. Exhibited with MTKh in 1895-1916; MOLKh in 1897-1906; Itinerants in 1906-1916. Painted historic subjects in 1890s; landscapes and scenes of provincial and country life later. Died in 1938.
