Russian painter and graphic artist, he studied at Rostov Art School in 1926-1929, in Academy of Arts in 1932-1938 in the studio of I. Brodsky and graduated with a PhD from the Academy of Arts where he studied in the studio of I. Grabar in 1938-1944. Laktionov lived in Moscow. He is known for his portraits, genre and landscape paintings. One of the most known painting by Laktionov is ‘The Letter from Front’, 1947. The artist died in Moscow in 1972. |
